Bracelet Made From Found Object
Friends were traveling in New Zealand and found a few rocks to take back home as a memento. As a surprise birthday present I was asked to determine which stone was to be the best for a custom made piece of jewellery and to design something. I thought the best way to approach this was to put a bit of a shape & polish on each of the 4 stones and let the customer decide. This is the final result.
My partner, after seeing what I had made for our friends from their found object on their trip to N.Z., told me she wanted a bracelet as well …. you know that you have to do nice things for your partner, right? I found some lapis in my box of goodies, cut and polished the stone into a cabochon, and made the bracelet slightly different to the one from before.
This is a stone I acquired many years ago – type unknown, but made a lovely Cabochon pendant.
Gold & Pearl Brooch
I was exploring different textures and shapes, inspired by nature, when designing this 9ct gold brooch with pearls, hand formed and fabricated.
This hand formed and fabricated pendant, 18ct Gold with a large Australian Sapphire & Diamonds, is 40mm in diameter and the sapphire is 8 carats.
‘Pan For Gold Ring’
This ring was hand formed and fabricated in 18ct Gold with oxidized silver inlay lines and a West Australian Gold Nugget sitting in the bottom of the pan.
